A majority of the putaway opportunities that we encounter are not system-directed. We need user-directed options. Potential options: 1. WMS sends Locus empty locations. (Relatively simple if all locations are identical in size. Could be complicated if locations are different and there is logic needed to select which type of bin a putaway job requires.) 2. After induction, Locus drives a putaway robot to a random initial location somewhere in the pick area. (Simple if we can randomly select anywhere in the pick area. Complex if the client needs the ability to control which aisles or areas of the warehouse are eligible for putaway.) 3. "Advance robot" feature (1, 2, 3 locus points?), so if there are no empty locations where the robot is, the operator can advance it and keep searching. 4. Technology for a bot to automatically follow a user. 5. For system-directed putaway, have the WMS send a primary and "alternative" locations, in case the primary location is full or can't take all the contents. Or not needed if we simply request a new location from the WMS.
