Add a flag holder option & a Locus approved flag on Bots.
Customer added bicycle type flag to bots to help find bots. Today most everyone is doing it on their own anyway.

This is a rather common request and self-implemented addition to bots by clients. It would be nice if Locus could control what kind of flag is used as some environments would pose interference with the flags by way of low-clearance openings (due to piping on mezzanine levels, hanging objects, etc.). Locus deployment teams could "design" the flag type and size based on the specific customer environment not too dissimilar from how we would choose a bot tray size based on aisle widths.
There is a clear need to help our customers quickly locate bots, as evidenced by this idea. The reviewing team has a few concerns with this potential solution, as well as an alternate preferred technical approach.
Concerns:
Potential safety issue with flags on bot. (Flags on passing bots can tangle causing unintentional motion)
Market perception - Evidence of competitor using flags against Locus in their messaging against Locus
Flags are not a universal solution (tall pick shelves for example)
Preferred approach:
Improve locating bots through either existing iPad interface, via a wearable device, or another solution able to work in the majority of customer sites.
