DHL ASOS is a huge site. Towards the end of their day, volume dwindles and we cannot optimize, leading to a lot of walking to find the next bot. Supervisors track total mission time per bot and will regularly assign pickers to "Follow this bot at location XX until it's complete". They can train users to look for this, but turnover is high (almost 50% some weeks), so it is difficult to guarantee compliance. Giving each team member a walkie-talkie is also impractical (~50 pickers on one floor).
