Enable a direct, read-only connection between MongoDB and PowerBI to eliminate manual data exports.

We are requesting the implementation of a read-only direct connection between MongoDB and Power BI. This would enable:

Real-time querying of MongoDB collections from Power BI.
Consistent use of updated productivity calculations in all reports.
Creation of dynamic, reusable dashboards and visualizations.
Elimination of manual exports and Excel-based analysis.
Scalable, efficient, and accurate storytelling for internal and customer-facing use cases.

Problem/opportunity trying to be solved The OSD team faces a significant bottleneck in internal data analysis due to the need to manually access and export multiple reports from LocusHub to utilize in the Optimization Tool, followed by time-consuming analysis in Excel. This manual process delays insights, reduces agility, and limits the team’s ability to deliver timely, data-driven narratives to customers. The opportunity is to streamline this workflow by enabling direct access to MongoDB data in Power BI, allowing for faster, more scalable, and consistent reporting.

Data Consistency Risk: Current VM data uses outdated productivity calculations, while MongoDB contains the updated logic needed for accurate reporting.
