Hi John,
Per our discussion this past week while I was onsite at Cardinal Health Montgomery, please let me know of your thoughts on some form of cushioning that will ease the impact of the corner and front part of the pyramid structure for the CH bots. CH is expecting an answer on this. Our thought is to use some spongy/cushion strips on the side and front. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
As you can see, the top level has a fair amount of room for the top level, about 1 inch. Would be great to reduce the depth and allow less room for the totes to move around for the next design.
Side view: idea is to have the bottom level side lip be higher so that totes do not have a chance sitting on the lip (which result in totes falling off in case it comes close to another bot or structure). Suggestion is to have an integrated shelving and tray design where the bottom level has similar side structure like the top level to hold the totes securely in.
Hopefully with the integrated design (with less weight), it would help provide additional payload for the products and totes.
Derek has taken additional pictures that he could share with the dimensions of available space.
Thanks,
Jasmine
