@DuPre, after reviewing with engineering it's been determined that we can not move forward with this idea, at this time. Cost, weight, design flexibility, safety, available resources are all concerns at this time.
Thanks DuPre. Erica Moyer and John Pearlman will review. We did try to develop something similar for a customer in Europe and found that the shelves were exceedingly expensive (~4X a normal shelf) and limited flexibility in payload types carried. Also as you mentioned the safety elements need to be addressed.
