Robot does not continue to a new picking locations when ToteFull is selected. Needed for a Max opportunity where they do not send pre-assigned pallets.

Once a picker picks cases and places them onto Max they can confirm the quantity but also tell the system that the pallet is full or too high. This would terminate the mission and not send the bot to an additional stop and waste the picker’s time

Problem/opportunity trying to be solved

Using the tote full or pallet full button sends the bot to an additional stop. The picker walks to the bot but can not perform a pick. This lowers bot utilization and picker utilization

Quantify the problem/opportunity

ITS Logistics is a prospect looking at case pick to pallet utilizing Max. ITS does not cube out pallets. They send one giant pick list and rely on the pickers to cut the pallet once it reaches a certain height. If they use the standard tote full feature, the bot will travel to an extra stop and the picker would walk to the bot, hit the tote full button, and not perform any picks. The average stops per pallet for ITS is 3, so each bot would make 4 stops. This means that 25% of the available robots do not have a pick that can be completed, reducing productivity by 25%.

What is the root cause of the problem/opportunity

Customers’ inability to cube items and cube out pallets.
