Voice picking solutions typically group them together, so that they would ask the picker to grab the total amount required for all the orders and then tell them to place the appropriate quantity in each order (e.g. "grab 5", "place 2 in bin a", "place 3 in bin b"). The idea would be the same with our robots, to reduce the task time per stop and better drive productivity.
Problem/opportunity trying to be solved
Currently when 2 or more orders in a mission have the same SKU, each request from the robot UI involves only one order, meaning that the picker would need to visit the same piking location several times for the same bot. |

Quantify the problem/opportunity
Every site that has more than 1 line per stop. This could potentially grow with the deployment of Vectors, which will have more orders in the same bot. |
|
What is the root cause of the problem/opportunity
This behavior comes from the fact that the bot only looks at the current line to be processed, without looking at any other lines within the same mission, making it unable to group lines with the same SKU. |
