Print Labels during Putaway

During putaway, there are at times parts with difficult to scan barcodes. For Toyota, this means they have to go to one of their terminal stations and manually print a barcode to be able to scan the part in. Since all of their bots already have printers for picking, they would like to be able to print out a barcode right at the bot that can be scanned.

By generating this barcode at the bots, both sites would be able to save 2 minute each time they have to do this activity. If they have to do this 100 times a day, it can add up to 866 hours per year. At a rate of $20/hour, that is a over $17,000 per year savings per site.

Barcodes that are note able to be placed on small items as well as the inability to utilize the on bot printers during putaway.
