To accommodate dynamic putaway better, release functionality where users/FTEs have a hand-held device like a TC-53 and just walk through the aisles to either 1) find the available locations and scan them to create a list of available put away locations that bots could use on missions once inducted with a putaway load (job), or 2) scan those locations to "call" an active or waiting put away bot to the location. This also allows FTEs to walk the aisles and find the available locations without having to push around the loaded put away cart while they're at it, adding more benefit to the site from the putaway perspective.
Problem/opportunity trying to be solved
Locus cannot support user-directed putaway today since we must get all directions from the WMS directly. |
|
Quantify the problem/opportunity
We have lost many opportunities in the past because we did not support this functionality. This would be a direct help to signing new CARR each quarter. |
|
What is the root cause of the problem/opportunity
Locus requires all putaway locations come from the WMS directly. |

Thanks Aaron - Dom Parente's been working on an analysis and roadmap for putaway. I pinged him for a status on it, as it's best we review improvements to it holistically.
