Locus Cartonization from WMS Orders

Concordance wants Locus to cartonize and break out orders into separate order jobs. They will also want to break the order into order jobs, with different unit of measures, such as full cases, eaches, or pairs.

Problem/opportunity trying to be solved

Currently some WMS systems do not have the capability to cartonize an order. Which in this definition, means taking 1 order, and breaking it into multiple order jobs. Concordance requires Locus to determine how many total totes, containers, and full cases are needed within the order.

Approach - Concordance WMS will send Magic Logic the order job - in which they will take it, and break down (cartonize) the order into multiple orders, and send it back to WMS. From there, Concordance will then send the orders to locus to pick. After picking is complete, at drop off, the wms will take the pick complete message to trigger a print label to affix on the tote for marry up.

Quantify the problem/opportunity

By being able to cartonize, this allows Concordance to perform their current operation, in which they pick large orders and quantify the labels afterwards. Without this function, they are unable to perform their current operation

What is the root cause of the problem/opportunity

The root cause is that neither Locus, nor WMS can perform that.
