Example flow:
Parcels at each packing table are pre-sorted in 5 groups (1 per shipping courier).
Once a reasonable number of parcels is reached for a specific courier a bot is called.
Parcels are transferred to the bot.
Bot is sent to the appropriate destination based on courier.
Transportation of the parcels to the shipping area
Delivery and unload of the parcels at the specific courier pallet footprint for manual palletization.
Upon unload send robot back to start location.
This could be achieved by mimicking the cart staging. For example, a scan of the packing desk name ("calling" location) will generate a call for the robot to go there. Then the associate can complete induction and send the bot to the next destination.
Problem/opportunity trying to be solved
For user driven P2P transport flows, when using Vector with cart the robot is "called" when a cart is staged at a given location. When Origin is the selected robot for P2P transport, there should be a way to call a robot when the load is ready to be transported. |

What is the root cause of the problem/opportunity
With Vector w/ cart the cart can be staged independently and the bot only arrive when the cart is complete. With Origin, there has to be some kind of "induction". To avoid to have a robot idle while the load is being prepared (e.g. parcels packed), we need to be able to call for the robot. |
