In order to find a trade off, the customer would like to enable ScanEach for picks up to x quantity. So for example all picks of <=5 - ScanEach and when >5 scan 1 pcs and confirm qty
The date is just a suggestion - not an urgent request for sure
Problem/opportunity trying to be solved
Bergler-Erlensee had seen issue with the pick accuracy where people had to take for example 5 pieces, but only took 4. Therefore we had temporarily enabled ScanEach, but with many order lines with >1 this is adding to your PickTaskTime. It's a trade of what is more valuable. With the risk that people need to pick 5 with ScanEach, but in stead of scanning 1 pcs - put in the tote - scan 1 pcs - put in the tote - etc, very often they scan the same pcs 5 times which does not make sense |

Quantify the problem/opportunity
they have lots of orderlines with multiple qty, but cannot afford it to do ScanEach when the orderline has a too high quantity. Scanning every pcs is beneficial for them, but a costly matter |
|
What is the root cause of the problem/opportunity
The team on site is making mistakes after they scanned 1 pcs to not always take the right number of pieces to complete the pick. This will not be solved by ScanEach, but it's activily monitored on the floor if they actually do scan every piece when they need to |
