Enable functionality to assign items/cases to bin arrays separate from inducting onto a bot. Then, after the bin array is full of items/cases, scan bin array barcode to induct all items to bot and be able to begin the putaway mission. Information about which bin each item/case was assigned to ahead of time would also be made available at induct.
Problem/opportunity trying to be solved
DHL envisions process to prebuild bin arrays for putaway missions with items and/or cases of items. Being able to reuse their current picking bin arrays is one issue that is addressed. They are also interested in this process to limit dwell time during induct. |

Quantify the problem/opportunity
DHL interested in feature network wide. |

What is the root cause of the problem/opportunity
Unable to use current picking containers. Want to limit dwell time at induct. Want to limit scanning onto bot and prebuild bin arrays ahead of time. |

We do not have functionality to do this today in Locus. Toyota updated their WMS system to build offline tote arrays with an RF gun. When the tote array is inducted, the Toyota WMS passes the putaway jobs for the entire array to Locus.
Neil, what was the outcome here, DHL would like an update?
This is being talked about for DHL Verizon Reverse
Didn't connect with Eric yet. Will do.
Neil, what was the outcome here?
Eric - I'll reach out and discuss how you were thinking this would work.
I believe we support this today. Toyota does something very similar. Need to document what is done at Toyota from an integration standpoint.
