The site would see benefits in having the bots respect the queue. As you can see in the printscreen attached, if the one bot leaves it station and further down the queue bots start to overtake the queue, given the available space bots are increasing their interaction and might start to dance.
Problem/opportunity trying to be solved
Attached 2 videos that show that bots in the queue with SDS enabled are not respecting the queue. Bots are overtaking eachother in the drop-off queue with SDS enabled ![]() WhatsApp Video 2024-02-29 at 11.57.20.mp4 ![]() WhatsApp Video 2024-02-29 at 11.57.28.mp4 |

Quantify the problem/opportunity
This behaviour in the queue for SDS has been observered many times and the site would like the first bot to get to the queue go to the first station that becomes available and that should not be decided based on its last pick |
|
What is the root cause of the problem/opportunity
I got to know: "This is expected, it’s tied to when the bot completes its final pick (or putaway). If the bot finished its final pick but has a long way to get to the queue, its spot in the queue starts when it completed the pick, so it may show up and then immediately go to induction because it had such a long way to go compared to the others in the queue" |
