Problem/opportunity trying to be solved
Trying to have a simple methodology to trigger a repeated movement within a facility. A button or sensor or triggering mechanism that sends a message to Locus and says, "I'm ready for that move to be made again." This messages creates a task unique to this button that always is the same exact movement until the configuration is changed. If the configuration is changed, the movement would be to a different location. I would also like to note that this problem hinders an entire vertical, the Industrial segment, which sees by far the most point to point opportunities. We must be able to compete on simplicity against a conveyor and other AGV options that have been around for years. There is no desire to go from a simple user process to a complicated user process. |

Quantify the problem/opportunity
This particular opportunity is tied to having point to point transportation from an AutoStore system to various areas of the warehouse. There are 23 Vectors associated to this opportunity. There are 1250+ AutoStore Systems in the world. So, that could be as many as 28,750 Vectors. This opportunity would be a big intro to us working with AutoStore systems and could open a lot of doors. |

What is the root cause of the problem/opportunity
Right now there is too many scans and too many user decisions with the handheld to create a smooth, easy, and effective user experience within a point to point transportation Locus implementation. |
