Pick to Several Orders with pick-to-light (Locus Luminosity)

Locus can only present today a single pick task at a time on the bot when there are more than one pick task of the same SKU at the same bin location. This results in wasted movements at the pick location and time spent scanning and doubling backing for product.

Recently went to a PetSmart site where they have a pick-to-light cart that communicates to them both the location they are picking to and the qty they are picking to that location. The magic of the solution is if 5 orders on the cart need the same sku from the location, all 5 locations on the cart flash with qty. This is triggered by a scan of the location they are picking from. once they scan they will see they need to pick 15 items that go to 5 orders. The associate then places the correct qty in each location and hits confirm button next to the light after each task is completed. This allows them to increase their efficiencies in several ways they are told how many units the cart needs from the start increasing their lines per grab, It also prevents them from doubling back between each task, one scan per Sku instead of 1 scan per line. This process completely boxed us out from this opportunity at PetSmart. This solution increased their accuracy and throughput.

Locus is being boxed out by advanced pick-to-light solutions even when they are manual operations. Locus can only present one line at a time. Scanning is required for each line. Manual pick to light and pick to voice operations shouldn't be able to position themselves ahead of us.
